IET constitutes the key technology for the scientific and technical progress in many areas of human life. Utilizing the latest developments in electronics, the modern communication and network technologies provide a unique basis for the development of innovative applications, e.g., in telecommunications, automation, medical engineering or even in economics.

It is widely acknowledged that an engineering undergraduate education is a strong foundation for a successful career in many disciplines. The faculty has been careful to develop a forward-looking curriculum, taking into account the expertise and technologies required in the job markets of the future.

The IET (Information Engineering and Technology) Department at GUC is excited to share that our participation in the GUC Open Day was a resounding success! It was an excellent opportunity to connect with prospective students, faculty, and the wider community, offering insights into the dynamic world of Information Engineering and Technology. During the event, we highlighted the innovative programs and cutting-edge research initiatives that IET at GUC is known for. We also shared the diverse career paths available in the tech industry and showcased the resources GUC provides to help students thrive. It was inspiring to meet so many passionate individuals eager to pursue studies in this ever-evolving field. A big thank you to the GUC administration for organizing such a well-planned event, and to everyone who stopped by our booth! 2025 IEEE CASS Seasonal School: Hardware Meets Algorithms - 2/1/2026




The Faculty of Information Engineering & Technology in collaboration with the IEEE Circuits & Systems Society (CASS) Egypt Chapter, recently concluded the 2025 IEEE CASS Seasonal School, titled "Hardware Meets Algorithms: Building and Automating AI Accelerators". This milestone event marked a significant addition to the IEEE CASS presence in the region, being the first school of its kind to be hosted at GUC and the first in Egypt to focus specifically on the intersection of AI hardware and design automation.
